‘4/10’: £70m Chelsea player disappoints in rare appearance for his country, his passing was 'wayward'
Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga failed to impress for Spain last night as his country were stunned 2-0 by Scotland in the Euro 2024 qualifiers.
90min awarded the 28-year-old just a 4/10 as his return to the national side ended in disappointment after his clean sheet at the weekend.
He had certainly earned his place back in the setup after establishing himself firmly as the number one at Stamford Bridge since Graham Potter joined the club.

Edouard Mendy’s injury and now contract woes have seen him spend an extended spell on the sidelines after looking irreplaceable for more than a season in West London.
However, a number of errors made his place far less secure, and the Spaniard has taken his chance with both hands to return after his £70m move looked set to be a complete failure.
One area Kepa is notably stronger than the 30-year-old is with his feet, and his distribution not putting his teammates under any pressure at all.
Kepa struggles for Spain
However, last night it seems the Chelsea man struggled in this area.
They said: “Kepa Arrizabalaga – 4/10 – Didn’t exactly radiate confidence and his kicking was a little wayward.”
With Mendy now spotted back in training, there will be pressure on the 28-year-old to hit the ground running again when Premier League football returns at the weekend.

In truth, the future of both first team options is far from secure. Reports continue to circulate that the club are looking to bring in a new goalkeeper at the end of the season in order to continue to strengthen.
David Raya is a player notably linked with a transfer after it became clear he will not sign a new contract to extend his stay with Brentford.
It will also surely not be long until Gabriel Slonina is pushing to be part of the first team despite his age.
