'A bit frustrating': Craig Burley puzzled by Chelsea forward's display in Leicester win
Craig Burley admitted he was baffled by on-loan Chelsea forward Joao Felix‘s lack of end product despite the qualities he possesses.
The 23-year-old was hooked at halftime in Chelsea’s 3-1 win over Leicester City on Saturday.
According to Graham Potter, it was purely a tactical decision as he felt that Chelsea needed an extra midfielder in the second half.
The Atletico Madrid loanee has now failed to register any goal or assist in the last six games.
He was close to scoring several times during this period, including against Leicester, but as Burley pointed out, his conversion rate is not a good sign.

“Joao Felix is a bit frustrating,” the former Blues midfielder told ESPN FC.
“Because it’s in there. Some of the things he does are really good, but the end product for him is not there at the moment.
“He scored a goal but he was offside and that, again, was just down to his eagerness to get in there.”
In addition to his goal drought, Felix has not offered much in terms of chance creation, too.
He averages 0.8 key passes per game in the Premier League, below the likes of Kai Havertz, Raheem Sterling, Mason Mount, and even Noni Madueke.
In terms of potential, the Portugal international arguably has a higher ceiling than any other Chelsea player. This is exactly why Atletico Madrid spent a reported £113million for him in 2019.
However, he has not reached double digits in goals or assists in any season since the big move.
Diego Simeone’s defensive approach might have played a part, but even now at Chelsea, the record has not been encouraging.
