'Information is a little bit sketchy': 24-year-old Chelsea player could be out with injury for some time yet - expert
Injury expert Ben Dinnery has claimed that there are plenty of uncertainties as to when Mason Mount will return from injury.
He told GiveMeSport that the issue is one that is common for footballers, however therefore makes it difficult to name when he will return to the field.
The England international has been missing for a number of weeks now, which has coincidentally coincided with a return to form for Graham Potter’s side.

This is far from ideal for Mount, who is currently in a standoff regarding a new contract with the club he has been with for much of his youth.
Despite an offer in the region of that accepted by Reece James earlier this season, the back-to-back player of the year has been far less keen to commit his long-term future to Stamford Bridge.
This has brought multiple reports that he could be on the move at the end of the season, given Todd Boehly’s desire to not let players enter the last year of their deal.
Mount injury return unspecified
Mount will be desperate to return to the pitch and prove his worth to supporters, with some beginning to lose faith.
However, Dinnery has said the details regarding his return remain sketchy.
He said: “The information is a little bit sketchy. It’s referred to as a pelvic problem by Graham Potter.
“We’re sort of reading between the lines here. The sketchiness regarding a potential return to play suggests this could be more of an inflammation issue, an overuse problem.

“Osteitis pubis is one that certainly fits. It’s typical and common within football in kicking mechanisms, aggravating those hips, quick changes in direction and explosive movements.
“All of these things fit within those timeframes, which is why we’ve had this vagueness around when Mason Mount could be back and those uncertainties around progressing through those areas of protocols.”
Selling Mount to a side such as Liverpool would certainly strengthen a rival side, who are also looking at trying to secure a deal for Jude Bellingham too.
