'It's what I expect': Leeds star hails 24-year-old Chelsea player who was 'having fun' during international display
Leeds United’s Weston McKennie hailed Chelsea attacker Christian Pulisic after his international display this weekend.
Weston McKennie and Christian Pulisic, who are usually Premier League rivals, both started for the United States in a 7-1 hammering of Grenada on Saturday.
Pulisic, 24, scored once and assisted twice for the U.S against Grenada. McKennie was on the scoresheet twice as well.
The Chelsea winger can’t seem to find any of his best form so far this season, scoring once in 24 Blues appearances across all competitions.
However, national media was blown away by the wide man’s latest international outing.

McKennie singled out his international teammate for big praise after his performance:
“I mean, to be completely honest, it’s what I expect of him,” McKennie said, as quoted by MLS Soccer.
“For him to be able to do it consistently and be back and be in that zone, it always helps the team out in the best way, because he’s one of the players on our team that can create things and can make things happen. So just to see him having fun, and just playing his game and with the confidence that he has, it’s amazing.”
We love seeing Pulisic play with a smile on his face, something he always seems to do when he’s representing his country.
Let’s hope he’s in high spirits when he returns to his club after the international break, too!

His future
There is a lot of talk in the fanbase about which Chelsea players will still be at the club next season. You can understand why when you consider the sheer amount of options in the current squad.
Journalist Fabrizio Romano explained on YouTube a month ago that there is a possibility Pulisic could leave Chelsea this summer.
The American forward looks a different player when he represents his country to when he’s in Chelsea colours, so you’ve got to wonder if a transfer is the best step for him.
In our view, he should give it one more final push in the next few months to see if he can cement himself in Graham Potter’s plans. If not, a sale could be best for all parties.
