'He's flying': Armando Broja says he's really impressed by £50m Chelsea player's displays right now
Armando Broja has claimed he’s impressed by the performances of Chelsea teammate Ben Chilwell.
Unfortunately, Chelsea fans haven’t seen Armando Broja on the pitch in 2023 as he recovers from the season-ending injury he suffered in December.
The 21-year-old Blues striker has been quite a sizable miss during the second half of the campaign, with the team lacking someone to spearhead the attack.
Broja has now opened up on his recovery by explaining that Ben Chilwell, who’s had his own injury frustrations in the past, has been a huge help.
He told the club’s official website. “Ben Chilwell has helped me out massively.
“He has spoken to me from the moment it happened until now. Only today we had a conversation about it.
“He’s been through it. He knows exactly how it feels, the pressure, the mental side of things. He’s been helping me every step. He doesn’t have to, but he goes out of his way to talk to me, and help me, so a big thanks to him.”

Chelsea fans may be even more intrigued to hear further comments about Chilwell’s form:
Broja continued: “I watch him now and he’s flying, he’s in good shape, playing well. He’s told me I’m going to come back stronger. It’s good to hear from someone who has been through it.”
It’s hard to praise any Chelsea player when the team is on a five-game losing streak. If you go further back, the Blues have scored once in their previous seven games across all competitions.
However, Chilwell might be one individual where you can find something positive.
The £50million (Sky Sports) left wing-back still isn’t back to his dazzling best in a season that’s been disrupted by a hamstring problem, but he often looks the team’s best attacking threat.

The next Chelsea manager definitely has to have Chilwell central to their plans.
He’s miles ahead of Marc Cucurella for the left-back slot based on what we’ve seen this year, but the competition between them is healthy.
Hopefully, the England international can stay fully fit and rediscover peak form.
