Report: Mauricio Pochettino to be given final say on if Chelsea sign 23-year-old for next season
Reports have claimed that Mauricio Pochettino will be handed the final say on if Chelsea pursue the signing of Joao Felix this summer.
According to the Evening Standard, the Argentine will be key in the decision to bring in the 23-year-old on a permanent basis, or even extend his loan for next year.
Felix has been a divisive figure amongst Chelsea fans since his temporary move to Stamford Bridge was announced in January.

He has certainly brought an element of quality that the squad didn’t have up to now, as he has been a starter in the majority of games since coming in.
However, this has often not translated into goals, which has been the story of the season for the club in general.
He has scored just twice for the Blues, which has not been enough for many to warrant spending the big money on the transfer.
Pochettino has final say on Felix
A decision is yet to be made over his future, with reports stating that there are some at the club that would like him to join permanently.
It has now been claimed that if Pochettino does become the manager, he will have a key say in whether he remains in West London.

Many have been particularly concerned that signing Felix could come at the expense of Mason Mount, with the duo hardly featuring together since the Portugal international made the move to London.
The 24-year-old is still reportedly quite far away from agreeing terms over a new contract, opening a genuine opportunity for him to leave the club.
He is not short of reported suitors, although there will be hopes that Pochettino’s history with homegrown players may see him have a desire to turn things around for Mount at Chelsea.
