Report: What Todd Boehly told Mason Mount in a direct meeting over the weekend at Chelsea
Reports have claimed that Chelsea owner Todd Boehly was in direct contact with Mason Mount over the weekend.
According to The Athletic, the owner took the opportunity to remind the 24-year-old that he is a crucial part of their squad, as talks over his new contract continue.
There has become a genuine fear in recent weeks that Mount could be set to leave the club he has spent so many years developing his skills at.

Despite being near enough undroppable in recent years, the Blues man has endured a rough season in terms of both form and injuries.
It looked as if his career could be about to bounce back when recognised avid fan Frank Lampard took over the club on a temporary basis.
However, he is yet to start in any of the four games in all competitions that Chelsea have played (and lost) since he came back for his second spell in charge.
Boehly and Mount in contact
It looks as if he is beginning to shake off the niggling injury that has kept him out a lot recently, as he has made appearances from the bench in recent weeks.
With the season virtually over for the Blues, Mount may be part of more experimental lineups that are tailored towards next season.

This will only be if it looks as if he is staying with the club though, and there is currently no guarantee that happens.
Nevertheless, it has been reported that contact between Boehly and the player has been seen as a positive sign as the saga continues.
Losing Mount will certainly see the Blues be strengthening a direct rival, with Liverpool being one of the sides reportedly interested in a deal to sign the England international.
