Chris Sutton has just come up with a new nickname for Frank Lampard at Chelsea
Pundit Chris Sutton has teased Chelsea interim manager Frank Lampard with a new nickname following his return to Stamford Bridge.
He claimed in his column for the Daily Mail that the consecutive run of losses should see the manager known as ‘Frank L-L-L-L-L-Lampard’.
It is fair to say things have not gone to plan for Lampard in his second tenure in charge at the club. The decision was made to try and bring some of the good vibes back to Stamford Bridge before the end of the season.

This hasn’t happened at all, with if anything frustration continuing to rise beyond boiling point in West London.
They were knocked out of the Champions League quarter-finals by Real Madrid, the competition which held any of their hopes for the rest of the season.
Lampard didn’t evade criticism for his part in that scenario, with his team selection particularly in the second leg raising many eyebrows.
Sutton nicknames Lampard
Those two defeats in Europe have been added to by four consecutive losses in the Premier League, with them continuing to languish in the bottom half of the table.
The boss has not escaped criticism for his part in the ongoing shambles at Stamford Bridge, and now Sutton has weighed in on the situation.

He said: “Chelsea hoped they were getting ‘Super Frank’, a romantic homecoming to rejuvenate the club. Six defeats later, they are stuck with ‘Frank L-L-L-L-L-Lampard’.”
Supporters will just be waiting now for the new permanent manager to be announced, with some wondering why the decision is yet to be made.
Mauricio Pochettino is widely reported to be the favourite for the role, with him expected to be taking over at the end of the current campaign.
