'High talent': Frank Lampard says 25-year-old who left Chelsea on a free transfer is now really good
Frank Lampard has claimed that he has been really impressed by the career progression of Dominic Solanke since he left Chelsea.
He claimed in his pre-match press conference that he is pleased for the player after he came up through the academy system at Cobham.
Solanke will almost certainly be lining up in the striker position for Bournemouth tomorrow as the Blues look to snap their losing streak on the South Coast.

Lampard is without a win in his first six games since returning to Stamford Bridge for his second tenure in charge of the club.
The striker role is one which the Blues are pretty desperate to fill after another dire season in front of goal.
The likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Kai Havertz and Raheem Sterling have all been extremely ineffective this season, and have made it difficult for whoever has been in charge to trust them on a regular basis.
Lampard praises Solanke
They will no doubt be looking with envy at Solanke, although he has only found the net six times this season, albeit with seven assists.
Lampard has now spoken about how impressive the 25-year-old’s journey has been.

He said: “I remember training with him. Clearly a high talent. I speak with the coaches at the academy a lot and they have a high regard of him. He’s still young, it’s good to see him performing so well. I’m pleased for him on an individual note because he has his origins here at the club.”
A solid performance tomorrow will at least go some way to trying to build excitement back amongst a fanbase that are already more than gearing up for next season already.
They will be hoping for an announcement soon over the next permanent manager at the club, with Mauricio Pochettino still thought of as the strong favourite.
