They are looking to sell plenty of players between these two seasons in order to enter the transfer market again and strengthen the side.

The bloated first team squad that currently remains at Stamford Bridge is impossible for a new manager to comprehend.

Mauricio Pochettino, who officially starts work at his new club at the start of July, will already have plenty of ideas over who he wants to utilise from the current squad.

Reports have previously claimed that the Argentine has already told Gallagher that he wants to keep him at Chelsea for next season, despite the expectation being that the club will look to cash in.

Despite Pochettino’s interest, Jacobs has claimed that the Blues hierarchy are still looking to sell the 23-year-old if they get a good offer.

“Chelsea are in no rush to sell Conor Gallagher but it’s absolutely true that at the right price, he’ll be on the market and there are several clubs that are looking at him.”

There is sure to be Premier League interest in the England international after he featured plenty of times for the Blues this season under numerous managers.

Other top flight sides will be sure to remember just how good he looked when he was on loan to Crystal Palace a couple of seasons ago, where he showed his attacking skills by contributing plenty of goals.
