Report: Chelsea held meeting yesterday over signing 22-year-old Mauricio Pochettino really wants
Reports have claimed that Chelsea held a meeting yesterday to try and convince Manuel Ugarte to join them this summer.
According to Record Portugal, the Blues were looking to lower the wage discrepancy between their offer and PSG’s.
Reports from recent days have claimed that the Blues have made great strides in their quest to sign Ugarte this summer.

It has been claimed that this is of the direct request of Mauricio Pochettino, who was announced yesterday as the new manager of Chelsea.
The task for the Blues is to find the perfect partner for Enzo Fernandez, who they smashed their record fee for to secure him in January.
It is almost universally believed that the Argentine has settled in brialliantly, however people at the club are not stupid enough to realise that they can’t strengthen alongside him.
Chelsea advance for Ugarte
The name that appears that to be at the top of the list is Ugarte, who has enjoyed a successful season in Portugal for Sporting Lisbon.
The player is reportedly hooked on the idea of a move to the Premier League, and therefore would prefer a move to Stamford Bridge ahead of the French champions.

However, the reported wage difference between both offers has left him a serious decision to be made over where he plays his football next season.
Given the fact that Pochettino is reportedly a massive reason behind the club’s interest in the signing, it is imperative that the owners back him in the decision by getting this deal over the line.
Then, they will be able to move on their attention to a number of other targets, including potentially another midfielder in Moises Caicedo.
