Report: What Chelsea's last few managers have all said in private about Mateo Kovacic
Reports have claimed that Chelsea’s last few managers have all been saying the same thing about Mateo Kovacic.
According to The Athletic, the prior few to take charge of the club have all privately noted that soon-to-be Manchester City man struggles when it comes to taking instructions when his side are out of possession.
It has been reported that the Champions League winners are now set to bring Kovacic in for a decent fee considering the fact that he only has a year left on his current contract.

It looks as if the signing is being made to replace Ilkay Gundogan, who is leaving after solidifying himself as a club legend.
The Blues are currently in the process of going through a complete midfield rebuild, with only Enzo Fernandez looking safe from being sold.
N’golo Kante has elected to choose to take his talents to Saudi Arabia after receiving a lucrative offer. His Chelsea contract was running out this summer.

There is also reportedly no security over Conor Gallagher’s place in the side, despite his recently admitting that he loves being a member of the squad.
However, it is not lost on anyone at the club that he holds a lot of value in the transfer market, especially considering that he came up through the academy.

As they look to replace those on the way out, it appears that, reports are now beginning to focus on who they are looking to sign.
It appears they have focused on Moises Caicedo from Brighton as their number one target for the position.
With his skillset seemingly complementing Fernandez’s to a tee, it could be the start of building a sensational signing to create the spine of the Chelsea squad under Mauricio Pochettino.
