Kylian Mbappe sends brilliant five-word message to Christopher Nkunku after his first Chelsea training session

Christopher Nkunku enjoyed his first training session yesterday as a Chelsea player.

The Blues confirmed on their official website that Christopher Nkunku, 25, was involved in first-team training at Cobham on Friday morning.

Nkunku, who scored 70 goals in 172 games during his RB Leipzig career, arrives at Stamford Bridge with a glowing reputation.

The France international is a very exciting attacker that developed superbly in German football, but he’s now ready to try take the Premier League by storm next season.

Nkunku uploaded a message on his Instagram after training with his Chelsea teammates for the first time.

Blues teammates Ben Chilwell and Reece James responded in the comment section. There was also a notable response from football superstar Kylian Mbappe.

Paris Saint-Germain forward Mbappe, who plays alongside Chelsea’s summer recruit in the French national side, delivered a brilliant five-word response to his international teammate.

“First session with the lads,” Nkunku said.

Mbappe replied: “Going to get my popcorn.”

We’re certainly in Mbappe’s camp and can’t wait to watch Nkunku play in Chelsea colours!

It’s going to be very interesting to see how Mauricio Pochettino deploys Nkunku, who’s versatile enough to play as a No 9, No 10 or on the wing.

We would love to see the quick Frenchman deployed as a second striker behind a recognised frontman.

Nkunku recently told the club’s official website that his favourite position to play is as a centre-forward.
