Reece James has taken to Instagram to send a message to Chelsea fans ahead of next season.
The England international took to the social media account to tell supporters that they are yet to see the best out of him as a player.
James has been back in pre-season training for nearly two weeks now as he hopes to be at 100% when the next campaign gets underway.
Last season provided a lot of challenges for the 23-year-old, both physically and mentally.
He missed a number of club games due to injury, and his absence was a real challenge for a side who didn’t really have a natural and accurate replacement for his services.
James takes to Instagram
James also faced the challenge of being forced to miss the World Cup due to injury, with him almost certain to have been in Gareth Southgate’s plans in Qatar.
The defender has had plenty of time to digest what has happened, whilst also having his sights firmly set on the future.
He took to Instagram to upload a photo with the caption: “The best of me is yet to come.” In the comments section, Andrey Santos left his support for his new teammate.
Santos is another of the players who has been in pre-season at Chelsea since Mauricio Pochettino took over the club.
Even though there have been rumours that elite sides are looking to sign him before he has even touched the pitch, it is likely that he will be going nowhere on a permanent basis.
While he is attracting interest for a loan move, it has been claimed that Pochettino is keen to get a proper look at him in pre-season before making any decision on his future,
