'Release clause': Fabrizio Romano says Chelsea are now considering signing ‘special’ PL player for just £35m
Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Chelsea are now considering bringing in Crystal Palace winger Michael Olise.
He took to Twitter to state that the Blues are in the race to sign him as well as defending Premier League champions Manchester City.
It has been reported recently that the club are not yet finished strengthening their attack for next season, and Olise is the latest name to be linked.

This is despite pre-season already being well underway over in the United States, and Chelsea being one of the clubs impressing the most in their opening games.
They breezed past League 2 side Wrexham in their opening game, before defeating Brighton 4-3 over the weekend.
Original reports a few days ago suggested that they had determined that Ajax attacker Mohammed Kudus as their number one target to strengthen their ranks.
Chelsea considering Olise
However, links have now suggested they could look closer to home in order to find the perfect candidate for the role.
Romano has claimed that the Blues are considering triggering Olise’s release clause for a fee of around £35m.
He said: “Chelsea and Manchester City have both Michael Olise in their list. Understand there’s release clause into his contract — around £35m.
“Both clubs are waiting for clarity about his conditions as he picked up injury last month.”

The Frenchman has recently proved himself as a seriously talented young player, who certainly looks worth the aforementioned release clause.
He was praised last year by manager at the time Patrick Vieira as a ‘special talent’ and has looked a real asset in terms of assisting goals in particular.
A deal for Olise could see the heavily impressive Angelo Gabriel sent out for the season on loan.
