Report: Mauricio Pochettino wants to sign ‘incredible’ player to allow Enzo Fernandez to change position
Reports have claimed that new Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino is looking to make a signing that could have an impact on the position played by Enzo Fernandez next season.
According to El Universo, the Blues are looking to bring in Moises Caicedo in order for the Argentine to be able to play further forward in the midfield next season.
Fernandez made an immediate impact after he joined the club, even if it came during a particular Premier League low point in their history.

They languished in 12th in the league, with them now going into next season without any form of European football to look forward to.
The World Cup winner’s quality certainly saw some promise for the upcoming campaign, with Frank Lampard even reportedly recommending him as a future captain of the club.
Despite his quality, it has seemingly been acknowledged that they do need to bring in another midfielder though if they do want to get the best out of Fernandez.
Caicedo to allow Fernandez to play higher
He was playing last season as part of a double pivot, with his partner seemingly changing by the week as they struggled to find the perfect way to play.
Now, it has been claimed that the addition of the Ecuador international could allow him to show his attacking capabilities on a more regular basis.

Caicedo is beginning to drag on as a transfer saga this summer, and that will not be good news for Chelsea.
The club will have been hoping to have this all wrapped up before they began their pre-season tour of the USA.
However, the ‘incredible’ player’s journey to America has come as part of the travelling Brighton side, and a deal is proving hard to come to after a number of rejected bids already.
