Report: Mauricio Pochettino is now having real doubts about signing 23-year-old for Chelsea
Reports have claimed that Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino is not keen on the club bringing in Dusan Vlahovic this summer.
According to The Guardian, the boss has not been convinced by the proposed deal that will see Romelu Lukaku go the other way.
Reports in the last two weeks have suggested that the two clubs are just looking for an agreement on a fee that will allow Vlahovic to move to Stamford Bridge.
The 23-year-old has been linked with a move away from his current club for more than a year now, and Juventus don’t seem particularly keen to keep hold of him.
They are instead far more convinced about bringing in Lukaku, who Chelsea will be desperate to move on this summer.
His expected move to Inter Milan collapsed as it emerged that he had been negotiating with other parties about potentially signing for them.
Pochettino not keen on Vlahovic
It has been claimed that he even did this in the week of their Champions League final last season, where he was on the bench and missed a number of chances late.
The Belgian is certainly keen on a move away from the club this summer, after burning all of his bridges in West London. However, he is beginning to run out of options.
That is perhaps why he is so keen for this transfer involving Vlahovic to come to fruition, although not everyone is as convinced.
Pochettino is now claimed to be not so keen on the deal, and this in itself should be enough for those in charge to not act upon the deal.
They already have new signings Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nkunku, who have impressed in front of goal since joining and are admired by the new manager.
