'It's unbelievable': Marcus Bettinelli claims £20m Chelsea player's first touch is so good
Chelsea youngster Carney Chukwuemeka has an “unbelievable” first touch.
That is according to Chelsea’s Marcus Bettinelli.
Carney Chukwuemeka, who’s still only 19, is one of numerous talented youngsters inside the Blues dressing room at Stamford Bridge.
The £20million attacking midfielder (Sky Sports) started this season well before his injury setback, which is why it’s great news that his return to the pitch is imminent. In fact, Chelsea confirmed via their official website this week that Chukwuemeka is back in full training ahead of Monday night’s trip to Fulham in the Premier League.
Chukwuemeka has received a vote of confidence from Blues goalkeeper Bettinelli when it comes to his ability.
“Betts (Bettinelli) you know about my first touch,” Chukwuemeka said in a video with Chelsea’s YouTube channel.
Bettinelli replied: “Yeah, it’s unbelievable.”
We’re very excited to see Chukwuemeka back playing for this Chelsea side.
He started the opening two matches of the season before his injury, scoring his first goal for the club with a stunner.
Now, the Blues really need players to step up as major threats in the final third, something we think Chukwuemeka could provide.
There’s been some big amounts spent in recent transfer windows to assemble this very young group at Chelsea, but £20million for Chukwuemeka could turn out to be the biggest bargain when we elevate further down the line.
