Report: 23-year-old has just halved his wages at his new club after leaving Chelsea this summer
Reports from Spain have claimed that Joao Felix is now earning a lot less money than he was at Chelsea since his move to Barcelona was confirmed.
According to Mundo Deportivo, the Portugal international has halved his wages in order to feature for his dream club for this season.
It was really looking as if Felix was going to be stuck at Atletico Madrid this season after not being kept at Stamford Bridge for at least another season.

Instead, he was proving quite the unpopular figure at his parent club. He was recently booed loudly when his name was announced at their home stadium.
There was a stage where a move to Saudi Arabia looked the most likely scenario, as staying in Europe simply looked too difficult.
Felix halves wage at Barcelona
Mauricio Pochettino was reportedly key in the club’s decision to not bring Felix in on a permanent basis, after recommendations following his loan spell at Stamford Bridge.
The player came out and said that a move to Barcelona would be this dream at this stage of his career. However, the financial difficulties in permanently signing him from Atletico Madrid made that unlikely.

Now though, it has proven that it was possible after it was revealed that Felix was happy to take a big hit on his wages in order to get the move.
There was some talk among supporters that he could be the player brought in late in the window as the attacking reinforcement that the club were looking for.
However, they ended up with the youthful addition of Cole Palmer, who showed plenty of bright signs in the second half when he was substituted on against Nottingham Forest.
