Report: What Chelsea's players actually think of Mauricio Pochettino after three months working with him

Mauricio Pochettino still has the backing of Chelsea’s players, even after a poor start to the season.

That is according to a report from The Daily Mail.

They claim that Mauricio Pochettino is “well-liked and backed” by his players.

The Blues are under real scrutiny after one win in six Premier League games this season, but it sounds like the dressing room is still firmly with the manager.

The report explains that Chelsea’s players appreciate the clear direction from Pochettino, whose a head coach with an open door policy and one that conducts detailed tactical conversations with some stars.

Apparently, Chelsea have a close-knit squad right now and they feel it’ll just take more time for things to click on the pitch.

How much time will they be afforded, though?

The latest opportunity to try turn things around is this Wednesday night against Brighton in the third round of the Carabao Cup.

If the Blues don’t find their shooting boots or a clinical touch in the final third, supporters will continue to go through more pain.

TalkSPORT pundit Simon Jordan thinks Pochettino needs to take more responsibility for the club’s poor start to the season, as quoted by talkSPORT.

The Argentine boss has now officially worked for the group of players for just shy of three months, but there’s not been the initial manager bounce you often get.

We’re noticing the Blues dominate possession and looking on top in most games. It’s the familiar issue of a lack of goalscoring, though.
