'Struggling': Gary Neville now shares whether he thinks Mauricio Pochettino will work as Chelsea manager
Gary Neville says he still has faith in Mauricio Pochettino despite the Argentine’s poor start as Chelsea manager.
Chelsea lost against Aston Villa yesterday and failed to score once again, but Neville is not writing Mauricio Pochettino off just yet, though he thinks the Blues boss does have problems.
Speaking on The Gary Neville Podcast, the former Manchester United defender said: “I’ve got great faith in him, but he’s just got a huge pack of cards and he’s probably struggling to know which hand to play.”

Pochettino has won just one of his first six Premier League games in charge, which came against newly-promoted Luton Town.
And things do not get any easier for Chelsea, who face Fulham in a west London derby before games versus Arsenal and Brentford towards the end of next month.
Huge pack of cards
With Chelsea having such a big squad, you can see where Neville is coming from.
However, these cards that the retired England international is talking about, Pochettino is actually missing a lot of them because of injury.

It is not an excuse for failing to score against Bournemouth and losing to Nottingham Forest at home, but if Pochettino had the likes of Christopher Nkunku and Reece James available, would Chelsea be where they are now? Possibly not.
Nkunku is someone who brings goals to the table, as he showed during pre-season and at RB Leipzig, while James is now club captain, making him an even more important player for the club.
You cannot use injuries as an excuse forever, but with all of these players sidelined, Chelsea’s team right now is not as good as people are making out.
