Raheem Sterling can do something for Chelsea tonight that he has never done in his career

One of Chelsea’s best performers this season has been Raheem Sterling, in the season after he left a lot to be desired in the months after joining the club.

His recent form has been extremely impressive though, and he has been recently nominated for the November player and goal of the month awards.

He is almost certainly going to be a starter tonight again for the Blues, as they look to further their winning run in the Premier League at Old Trafford.

While confidence around the fixture may be high around the club, one player who may not have great omens about the game is Sterling.

The England international is currently on a run of 24 games without a goal against the Red Devils, with him only actually being on the winning side in eight of those fixtures.

It is by far his least favourite opponent, and considering the quality of teams he has played for, winning only a third of his games against them is a poor record.

Sterling hasn’t scored against Manchester United

Chelsea as a whole are looking to put a bad run at Old Trafford behind them. They are without a win in Manchester in over a decade now.

Juan Mata scored the goal last time the Blues were victorious here, and will be looking for someone to step up and beat Andre Onana tonight.

Perhaps it will be Sterling who breaks his personal duck for the Blues, adding to his six goals in all competitions so far this season.

Another player who will be desperate to find the net is Cole Palmer, who should be back in the starting side after missing the last game as a starter through injury.

It will be his first appearance at Old Trafford.
