Chelsea player smashed his seat in anger after being substituted in Wolves defeat - journalist

Chelsea star Moises Caicedo was livid during Sunday’s crushing defeat against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Chelsea’s home record was strong going into today’s Premier League game versus Wolves, but they were soundly beaten 4-2 at Stamford Bridge in front of a tense atmosphere.

The Blues are now 11th in the league table after back-to-back losses this week.

Remarkably, TEAMtalk has claimed after the game that Chelsea’s owners are now considering sacking head coach Mauricio Pochettino.

Will he still be in the dugout for the next game when the Blues travel to Aston Villa for an FA Cup replay?

Journalist Rahman Osman reported via social media that Chelsea’s Moises Caicedo was visibly angry today against Wolves.

The 22-year-old Blues midfielder smashed his seat in the dugout after being substituted off in the 63rd minute.

Osman wrote on X: “Moises Caicedo smashing his seat in fury after being taken off.”

Moises Caicedo against Wolves

We don’t expect any Chelsea player to be happy after today’s shambles, so don’t mind an outpour of emotion at a difficult time.

Caicedo endured one of his tougher afternoons against Wolves.

Yes, he showed his individual class with a beautifully weighted pass to assist Cole Palmer’s opening goal.

However, he was guilty of losing possession when Wolves made it 1-1. Also, he was swarmed by the opposition during his hour on the pitch.

We’ve got serious doubts about the balance of the midfield right now, particularly when the team is trying to build up in possession. There’s a real struggle for the manager when it comes to trying to get the best out of talented individuals.
