Yesterday saw some very positive and pleasing news out as far as Chelsea fans are concerned.

It has been a while since Chelsea have had particularly an attacking player nominated for the award, with their representatives normally coming from the backline.

Palmer’s brilliance had been hard to ignore though. He has the most assists in Europe since his debut a year ago.
It is clear that the England international has become mighty popular with his teammates too, and they will no doubt be delighted for him with the recent news.
One player who has shared their thoughts is Trevoh Chalobah, currently out of the picture at Stamford Bridge.

After Palmer shared his honour on his Instagram story, the centre-back responded simply with a cold emoji, something that has become synonymous with the player.

Chalobah was exiled from the club’s pre-season tour of the United States as they attempted to speed up the process of moving him on.
However, he remained at the club for weeks, with reports stating that there could actually be a way back for Chalobah in West London.

Ultimately though he was one of the many players to find their deadline day moves away from the club, joining Crystal Palace on a season long loan.
Palmer had been selected to represent England in the upcoming Nations League matches, however has withdrawn due to an ongoing issue.
There will be worries at Stamford Bridge that he is not available for their next game against Bournemouth, which would leave Enzo Maresca with some serious decisions to make.
One player who could benefit though is Christopher Nkunku, who has found appearances hard to come by in recent weeks.
