Bayern Munich have reached agreement with £52m Chelsea player, he wants to leave right now – journalist

Chelsea could be poised to lose one of their franchise names as the January transfer window really heats up.

It was always going to be difficult for Enzo Maresca to keep everyone happy given the quality in his side, and it looks as if a number of players are deciding that they see their future elsewhere.

Renato Veiga has already agreed terms over a move to Borussia Dortmund, with him believing he has a future at centre-back that is not available for him at Stamford Bridge.

It looks as if he is not the only player who has decided they want to leave, with Christopher Nkunku also unhappy with his situation at Stamford Bridge.

Bayern Munich agree terms with Christopher Nkunku

The Frenchman has been unable to displace Nicolas Jackson from the Premier League starting side this season, despite regularly finding the net in cup competitions.

Reports broke last night that £52m signing Nkunku has decided he wants to leave the Blues, with Bayern Munich coming to the front of the queue to sign him.

According to journalist Florian Plettenberg, the Bundesliga side have agreed terms with Nkunku, and now want to sign him immediately.

He said: “FC Bayern want to sign Christopher Nkunku immediately! Bayern have already reached a full verbal agreement with Nkunku on a top long-term contract. All terms are agreed. Nkunku wants to join Bayern right away.

“Regardless of Mathys Tel, Nkunku is Bayern’s top transfer target until Deadline Day on February 3rd. Max Eberl wants to sign him permanently, not just on loan. Including Tel in the deal with Chelsea is just an idea to make the transfer easier. Negotiations between the clubs are ongoing.”

Chelsea to replace Christopher Nkunku?

It is believed that Chelsea will be looking to sign a new striker if they do part ways with Nkunku this month.

One of their top targets is Liam Delap, who has enjoyed a very strong campaign so far in the Premier League.

Maresca has already been full of praise for Delap, and he would be added to the list of players the Italian has previously worked with during his time with the Manchester City academy.
