Chelsea set their asking price to sell wantaway Renato Veiga in January transfer window – journalist
It looks as if Chelsea are set to lose one of the players the club felt most proud about signing during the most recent summer transfer window.
There has been significant praise handed to the Blues for their ability to complete a deal for Renato Veiga for a small fee over the summer, and his individual talents have seen him become a regular for Portugal.
However, recent reports suggest Veiga has agreed terms with Borussia Dortmund over a potential move in January, citing not enough opportunities to start in centre-back this season.

Chelsea want more than £20m to sell Renato Veiga in January
The defender started as recently as Saturday against Morecambe in the FA Cup, and in the second half he found himself inverting into midfield rather than playing as a traditional left-back after the introduction of Marc Cucurella.
Chelsea are reportedly only keen for a permanent sale for Veiga at this stage, with a loan more in interest to the Bundesliga side.
The Blues have set their price to part ways with the summer signing, and according to The Telegraph they believe he is worth a fee over £20m.
Dortmund are famously difficult to negotiate with, shown with Manchester United’s inability to sell Jadon Sancho there before he made his move to Stamford Bridge.

Who could replace Renato Veiga?
It remains to be seen if Chelsea enter the transfer market to replace Veiga, with him being the very clear second choice in the squad for the position ahead of Ben Chilwell.
The England international is still expected to leave the club, meaning the Blues may need to look elsewhere to replace the Portugal international.
If they want to save on transfer fees, the option is there to promote Ishe Samuels-Smith to the first team to replace Veiga after his impressive season with the U21 side.
The 18-year-old has already shown that he has the ability to invert as both a central defender and central midfielder, and this would make him the perfect inclusion into the first team after the loss of Veiga who specialises in that.
