Forgotten Chelsea man looked 'natural' in Blues first team at 18 years old but he's now expected to leave for nothing
Chelsea’s academy has produced some very talented players, including the likes of Reece James and Levi Colwill.
Both men are important members of Enzo Maresca‘s squad, with the former currently club captain.
James is reportedly attracting interest from Real Madrid, but the above suggests that Chelsea will not entertain any offers for the defender this month.
He has not been as successful as James and Colwill, but another player who has come through the ranks at Chelsea is Harvey Vale.

Harvey Vale was tipped to become Premier League star and looked ‘natural’ in Chelsea first team
Vale is a very versatile footballer with a lot of potential. He can play as an attacking midfielder, left winger or left-back.
It is no surprise, then, that he was tipped to make an impact in the Premier League, which is yet to actually happen.
“I believe Harvey will soon follow Tino [Livramento] in making regular Premier League appearances,” Tom Joyce, a sports performance coach who has worked with Vale, told Goal in 2021.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek also felt that Vale looked “natural” in the Chelsea first team when he was still just 18 years of age.
When Loftus-Cheek spoke about Vale after one match, he said: “He did really well tonight, he held his own against some physical and strong players. He didn’t look out of place at all.
“Well done Harvey, I’m sure it felt natural to him. It looked very natural to him. Hopefully he can kick on now and get confidence from that.”
Still 21, the English youngster has plenty of time to make a name for himself in the top flight. Unfortunately for him, it just does not look like that is going to happen at Stamford Bridge.

Harvey Vale set to leave Chelsea this month
Coming through Chelsea’s academy, Vale would have been desperate to make it in west London.
However, the former England U20 international is set for a Chelsea exit this month.
Vale’s contract does not expire until the summer, but the Blues are willing to waive a transfer fee in exchange for a sell-on clause, according to journalist Kieran Gill.
In terms of potential destinations, Vale is thought to be attracting interest from Queens Park Rangers, Oxford United and West Bromwich Albion, as well as some clubs from abroad.
At one of those sides, maybe Vale will get the chance to start fulfilling his potential before making it in the Premier League one day.
