Chelsea sent scouts to watch £25m defender in the Champions League, Moises Caicedo is pushing for a deal - journalist
While there are still a number of months to go until the transfer window opens, rumours of Chelsea making moves in the summer are not going away.
It is believed the Blues will address a number of positions when the season comes to an end in order to give Enzo Maresca the required backing in what would be his second campaign at the club.
One position they are almost certain to strengthen is centre-back. Despite recalling him from his loan in January, the expectation is that Trevoh Chalobah leaves at the end of the season.

Chelsea send scouts to watch Joel Ordonez in the Champions League
One name that has been frequently mentioned on the list of potential targets in the past is Joel Ordonez, currently featuring for Club Brugge.
The young defender has been on the radar of Chelsea before he made his big move to Europe. Their scouting network in South America has been ahead of the curve for a while now.
It has been claimed in the past that a fee of around £25m is his valuation, a fee that is more than manageable for Chelsea, especially if they end this season with qualification to Europe’s elite competition.
Graeme Bailey has told The Chelsea Chronicle that the Blues had scouts in attendance at Brugge’s 2-1 win over Atalanta in the Champions League playoffs.
He said: “Chelsea are keeping an eye on Joel Ordonez, the Brugge defender, they were at the game against Atalanta. We know Ordonez is a player Chelsea are aware of, they’ve looked at him before, and before he even moved to Belgium.

Moises Caicedo’s influence on Chelsea signing Joel Ordonez
Ordonez has broken into the Ecuador national team lately, featuring alongside one of Chelsea’s best players, Moises Caicedo.
It looks as if the most expensive Premier League player in history has given a glowing review of the 20-year-old. Bailey told The Chelsea Chronicle that the midfielder has been vocal in his backing of the Blues signing him.
He said: “We know he’s someone who Caicedo has really voiced his opinion about that he thinks he’s good enough. Ordonez is an interesting one, I wouldn’t move him out of the equation.”
Chelsea have been linked to a number of top centre-backs in the Premier League, with Marc Guehi and Dean Huijsen topping that list. However, they would require big transfer fees to pry from their sides, making Ordonez a far more achievable target right now.
