'Difficult to think': Enzo Maresca makes claim about Joao Felix straight after Chelsea's defeat to Brighton
Chelsea crashed out of the FA Cup last night with an unconvincing display that led to a 2-1 defeat to Brighton at the Amex stadium.
There were very few individual performances to shout about as far as the Blues were concerned. Moises Caicedo was the only one who impressed against his former side.
Enzo Maresca had a number of big calls to make with his squad selection, with the biggest conundrum being in the striker role.

The boss had already confirmed Nicolas Jackson and Marc Guiu would be missing, and the deadline day exit of Joao Felix left Christopher Nkunku the only real option to start in the number nine role.
Enzo Maresca isn’t missing Joao Felix despite Chelsea’s FA Cup exit
The Frenchman struggled to make an impact on the game, despite being played through on goal brilliantly in the first half.
There was no option to replace him off the bench either, and this led to questions being asked as to whether the decision made to allow the Portugal international to leave was a good one.
Maresca talked down about whether the Blues missed Felix last night, and instead insisted that bad luck was behind their lack of options at the Amex.
He said to Football London: “I don’t think we miss Joao. Joao is happy there and we are happy Joao is happy there. The only thing I can say is no-one would predict on deadline day we had two strikers injured.
This is something that is difficult to think. It unfortunately happened but we have Nico to be back very soon.”

How has Joao Felix started off at AC Milan?
Felix made the move to AC Milan on deadline day, a club that hosts a number of former Chelsea players such as Christian Pulisic and Ruben Loftus-Cheek.
It didn’t take the attacker long to make an impact, with him finding the net on his debut in the Coppa Italia against Roma.
Chelsea fans couldn’t help but wonder if Felix would have succeeded as a striker if he was given the chance there in his six months at Stamford Bridge.
While he didn’t score or assist in the 2-0 Serie A win this weekend over Empoli, it was another impressive display for Felix as he looks at home in a Milan shirt.
