Frank Lampard just did something as Coventry manager that some Chelsea fans will love
Coventry City supporters will be really happy with their manager right now, Chelsea legend Frank Lampard.
When Frank Lampard took over the club, Coventry City found themselves 20th in the Championship table, just two places above the relegation zone.
However, since then, the Sky Blues have risen all the way to eighth. It means that they are now just one point off the play-off spots.
As well as Coventry fans, though, Lampard has also given some Chelsea supporters something to smile about lately. But not everyone adores the 46-year-old, with Abdoulaye Doucoure not happy with how Lampard treated him at Everton.

Frank Lampard guides Coventry to victory against Chelsea’s west London rivals QPR
Last time out, Coventry managed to beat Queens Park Rangers 1-0 at the Coventry Building Society Arena.
Defender Bobby Thomas scored the winner for the home side in stoppage time to delight Coventry supporters.
However, with QPR being Chelsea’s west London rivals, some Blues supporters would have also been happy to have seen their club legend Lampard guide his side to victory.
While Coventry are performing right now, they could have had an even stronger team if Lampard had his way during the January transfer window. It was claimed that Lampard was eyeing a few players from Chelsea, but no loan deals were agreed in the end.

Chelsea and QPR’s rivalry
Today, Chelsea’s main rivals from the capital are Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal, who the Blues do battle with each season.
However, being from west London as well, QPR are also considered to be fierce rivals of Chelsea, especially among the older generation of Chelsea supporters, who would have been ecstatic when Cesc Fabregas scored a last-minute winner at Loftus Road 10 years ago.
Again, then, it is why some fans will be happy with Lampard’s success against Marti Cifuentes’s men.
With Chelsea and QPR both out of the FA Cup, there is no chance of these two west London clubs clashing with each other this term. But with the latter just four points behind the play-off places, perhaps they could meet in the Premier League next year.
