‘We need to’… Enzo Maresca shares what he’s going to make his Chelsea team do after Kaoru Mitoma‘s stunning goal
Brighton & Hove Albion winger Kaoru Mitoma scored one of the goals of the season against Chelsea on Friday.
Chelsea started their Premier League clash versus Brighton & Hove Albion pretty strongly, but they were unable to take the lead and were eventually punished in the 27th minute by Kaoru Mitoma.
The Japan international controlled a long ball that was played into him by Bart Verbruggen fantastically before slotting past Filip Jorgensen.
All in all, it was a night to forget, with Chelsea going on to lose 3-0 and playing very poorly overall. Since the defeat, Enzo Maresca has shared what he plans to make his team do after being terrorised by Mitoma.

Enzo Maresca wants to review Kaoru Mitoma goal
Plenty of Brighton fans will be rewatching Mitoma’s goal, which will not be forgotten any time soon.
However, it looks like the Chelsea players will also be forced to rewatch it, with Maresca stating the he and his team need to review the strike so that they can avoid a repeat in the future.
“Until the Mitoma goal we were in control,” the 44-year-old was quoted as saying by Chelsea’s official website after the game. “After the goal we lost something. We need to review it and think how we can improve.”
Former Manchester United defender Gary Neville did not hold back when he discussed the Blues’ performance at the Amex. Neville was really critical of Cole Palmer and Christopher Nkunku, describing them as a “useless” pair.

Chelsea have considered signing Kaoru Mitoma in the past
If Chelsea’s summer went differently, Mitoma could have been lining up for them instead of Brighton on Friday.
In July, it was claimed that Chelsea held some internal discussions about Mitoma, but nothing came from those talks in the end.
Jadon Sancho was the left winger the Blues eventually went on to sign, but some fans will be wishing that he was never brought in.
Loads of Chelsea supporters slammed Sancho after his latest outing, while the 24-year-old has not scored in his last 10 outings in the Premier League.
