How Enzo Maresca can get the best out of Estevao Willian at Chelsea after Brazilian youngster's wondergoal - opinion

The positive feeling about a future Chelsea superstar was only increased after his latest performance before joining the club at the end of the season.

Estevao Willian was grabbing the headlines again after his last display for Palmeiras, a game they won 3-0 away from home against Sao Bernardo.

The winger scored twice, including a sensational powerful strike from distance which cannoned into the top corner, as his explosive ball striking was on display once again.

Estevao will be a Chelsea player next season, with there no intention for him to be loaned out before making his impact at Stamford Bridge.

This is a signifier into how excited the club are with the acquisition they’ve made. Chelsea think they’ve hit the jackpot with Estevao, and are prepared to give him the chance as soon as possible.

How Chelsea can fit Estevao into their team next season

Denilson has backed Estevao to succeed, and Enzo Maresca will already be looking for the best way to fit the youngster into his side assuming he keeps his job.

The Brazil international has played the majority of his club minutes on the right of attack, however has already hinted there may be something else in mind for him when he arrives in West London.

Estevao wants to play the Number 10 role, however this would cause conflicts with Chelsea’s current best player, Cole Palmer.

Under Maresca, Palmer has featured in a more central role, with it clear that there is a reliance on him when it comes to creating chances at Stamford Bridge.

Even in a period where goals have not been flowing, Palmer has created plenty of chances that his teammates have been unable to convert.

It would make far more sense for Estevao to remain in his more established position on the right of attack, with that looking a far more likely avenue into the side.

Chelsea chiefs not impressed by current winger

Pedro Neto and Noni Madueke have been playing the majority of the minutes on the right of attack this season, with the latter being the subject of plenty of transfer interest before this season got underway.

Chelsea do need goalscoring from their wingers desperately, with that being an area new addition this season Jadon Sancho has not added to.

Chiefs are not impressed by Sancho since his loan began from Manchester United, however that deal will be made permanent at the end of the campaign.

With very few players secure in their future at the club, there is every reason why Estevao could break into the first team squad straight away, and prove why there is so much faith in him from above.
