Chelsea tipped to strike separate agreement with Ajax alongside Jorrel Hato, it could be huge - Romano
Chelsea have advanced on Wednesday towards making another signing to put the cherry on top of a very impressive transfer window so far.
It has been reported that the Blues have approached Ajax over the signing of Jorrel Hato, a player they have been linked to for a number of months now.
Chelsea are in desperate need of bringing in competition and cover for Marc Cucurella, and left-back is one of the positions where the Dutchman can play.
It was reported recently that the Blues were ahead of the likes of Liverpool in the race to sign Hato, and now it is expected that personal terms will be agreed comfortably between both parties.

Chelsea tipped to send young players to Ajax as part of Jorrel Hato deal
There could well be more of a reason behind Chelsea being the favourites to complete a deal, with Fabrizio Romano reporting that the Blues and Ajax have an excellent relationship at the moment.
He said that there is a chance that a number of Blues youngsters could be moving the other way on loan to a club famous for developing these players.
He said: “One detail I can add is that Chelsea and Ajax have great relations and there could be room to discuss more players, like young Chelsea players going on loan there. Ajax are famous for developing talents.”
As the Blues continue to spend big, some of the younger talents at the club may see their immediate pathway to the first team blocked, and would benefit from a loan away.

Chelsea open to loaning top young players
After his promotion to first team status last season, it was an impressive first campaign at Stamford Bridge for Tyrique George.
However, the additions of Jamie Gittens, Estevao Willian and Joao Pedro are set to affect his minutes, and reports have linked George with a move away.
Another youngster who could spend the campaign away is Josh Acheampong, as he looks set for another 12 months at least behind Malo Gusto and Reece James in the pecking order.
Crystal Palace have been linked with Acheampong, and after their good treatment of Trevoh Chalobah last season will surely be seen as a positive option as far as the Blues are concerned.
