Joao Pedro already pays off huge part of his transfer fee as part of Chelsea's Club World Cup prize money
Joao Pedro was the Chelsea player who everyone was talking about off the back of their Club World Cup semi-final victory over Fluminense.
Pedro scored in sensational style on two occasions for the Blues on his first start for the club since his move from Brighton just over a week ago.
Given the fact that he used to play for Fluminense, Pedro decided not to celebrate either goal despite the importance they held to Enzo Maresca and his side.
Thiago Silva praised the Brazilian at the end of the game, after the Chelsea legend’s fantastic time in the competition came to an end.

Chelsea’s Club World Cup prize money for reaching final
As well as now having the chance to be known as the best club in the world, the Club World Cup has been very beneficial for the Blues as far as the finances have been confirmed.
Chelsea had already raised plenty of income on their road to the semi-finals, with the Round of 16 winnings covering Enzo Fernandez’s salary for a season.
As per FIFA’s official website, the winners of the semi-final earned another £22m, bringing Chelsea’s income so far to roughly £86m.
With Pedro joining Chelsea for £60m from Brighton, his two goals and player of the match performance have already brought in more than a third of the total spent by the club on his addition.
The Blues have spent big money in the summer transfer window so far, and will now be prioritising outgoings from now until September.
Pedro impresses with key figure in attendance at Club World Cup
Brazilian media were very impressed by Pedro, as he announced himself as a shoo-in to start in the final on Sunday against either PSG or Real Madrid.
With a spot in the Brazil national team no doubt on the attacker’s mind, he chose the right time to impress.
As per Correio Brazilinese, Carlo Ancelotti was in attendance as he keeps an eye on a number of talents ahead of his next international call-up.
Andrey Santos will have been hoping to make an impact too after his first start for the club, however he returned to the bench as Moises Caicedo came back into the starting side.
