Fulham boss Marco Silva picks out three quality Chelsea players before West London derby
Chelsea and Fulham lock horns on Saturday afternoon in the latest instalment of the West London derby.
The Blues go into the weekend’s fixture in the Premier League with four points from their opening two matches. Now, Enzo Maresca’s side will be looking to pick up a vital win before the first international break of the new season.

Unfortunately, Chelsea’s injury list against Fulham includes Cole Palmer. The good news is that they thrashed West Ham 5-1 last week without their talisman, so we’ll see how their attack fares again without their key playmaker.
Marco Silva, the Fulham boss, has built a very strong team at Craven Cottage since his arrival in 2021.
Last season, Fulham picked up a 2-1 away victory at Stamford Bridge against Chelsea on Boxing Day, so they can’t be underestimated this Saturday.

Marco Silva mentions Chelsea trio Estevao Willian, Liam Delap and Joao Pedro
Fulham manager Silva has given a special mention to Chelsea attackers Estevao Willian, Liam Delap and Joao Pedro prior to today’s league showdown.
When discussing upcoming opponents Chelsea, Silva said via Fulham’s official website: “The team had a very good last season and won the Conference League, they were the favourites, but won the [Club] World Cup as well, and were able to strengthen the squad.
“Even their attacking line – Estevao, [Liam] Delap, Joao Pedro, and probably more is coming, probably [Alejandro] Garnacho is coming too. I think it speaks about themselves and the individual quality they have.”
Chelsea have signed plenty of quality new players in a busy summer window, but we agree the aforementioned trio add obvious quality.
Brazilian media hailed Estevao and Pedro after they both ran riot in Chelsea’s recent victory against West Ham. Similarly, Blues striker Delap looks like he’s settled pretty quickly in his new home as well.
We expect to see all three of them in the starting XI against Fulham, providing the main goal threat alongside Pedro Neto as well.

Chelsea’s new-look attack
Yet again, there has been a lot of change to the Chelsea squad, particularly in the forward positions.
Noni Madueke left for Arsenal, while Nicolas Jackson has agreed to join Bayern Munich on loan. In addition, Christopher Nkunku completed a permanent move to AC Milan on Saturday morning.
We would argue that the Blues are in a stronger position by bringing in Delap, Estevao and Pedro in the same window to replace them. On top of that, Jamie Gittens joined to play on the left wing, plus Alejandro Garnacho has agreed to join Chelsea.
The supporters must be hoping that the transfers slow down and the squad begins to settle.
