Chelsea fans have already named candidates to replace Enzo Maresca, including Premier League rival
Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca could soon find himself under serious pressure after another disappointing result.
On Tuesday, Chelsea drew 2-2 with Bournemouth, which follows their 2-1 defeat to Aston Villa.
Currently, they sit in fifth place and are at risk of missing out on Champions League qualification. If that happens, Maresca could be in real trouble.
Are you happy with Enzo Maresca as Chelsea manager?
However, even if Chelsea do qualify for Europe’s elite competition, the Italian could still end up departing Stamford Bridge. Maresca has been linked to Manchester City and does not seem completely happy in west London right now after claiming that he has not been supported in the build-up to one match.

Fans on The Chelsea Chronicle name Oliver Glasner, Xavi, Zinedine Zidane and more
Here on The Chelsea Chronicle, even before the Blues’ latest setback, supporters were already naming potential candidates to replace Maresca in the dugout.
Frankkyeremeh89 has listed Crystal Palace’s Oliver Glasner, Bournemouth’s Andoni Iraola and former Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas.
Gavinschooler has suggested Xavi and questioned Chelsea’s decision not to consider him in the first place given the style of football that the owners want showcased on the pitch.
Araalidavid1 would like to see Real Madrid legend and three-time Champions League winner Zinedine Zidane at the helm.
Mubistone thinks Zidane’s former rival at Atletico Madrid, Diego Simeone, would be perfect for the Blues.
It is unlikely to happen, but Oppletters would not mind seeing Paris Saint-Germain boss Luis Enrique at Stamford Bridge.
And finally, Ashleyjclarke357 is open to the return of Antonio Conte and is also a fan of Xabi Alonso.

Imagine Enzo Maresca has just been sacked. Who should Chelsea hire to replace him?
While things are not going well for Chelsea at the moment, they should not be in a hurry to part ways with Maresca.

Enzo Maresca and Chelsea should remain together for at least one more season
Chelsea have showed a lot of promise under their current boss, winning two major trophies last term.
Their squad, unfortunately, is just not equipped for a title charge if their recent form is anything to go by. In the summer, Chelsea should give Maresca what he needs and see what he does with it.
If no progress has been made in the 2026/27 campaign, then it would be a good time for both parties to evaluate things.
