According to journalist Kieran Gill, Chelsea are not actively looking to improve their squad and think their current crop of players are good enough to secure a top-four finish.
In a Q&A session on the Daily Mail, Gill said: “They aren’t actively looking at filling specific gaps currently. Injuries could force them into thinking otherwise, of course, but right now, they reckon their squad is competitive enough to secure this season’s goal of a top-four finish in the Premier League alongside long cup runs.”

When you consider all of the above, the Club World Cup winners could regret not doing anything in January, which seems to be their plan unless a good opportunity presents itself.
