Chelsea think they've already brought in their own Dean Huijsen this month - journalist
Chelsea’s January transfer window ended on a damp squib as they refused to make a permanent signing for the first team squad on deadline day.
The Blues had been heavily linked with the signing of Jeremy Jacquet, although seem to have missed out on their chance as he is Liverpool bound at the end of the season.
This is despite Chelsea previously agreeing personal terms with Jacquet, however the decision to keep hold of Josh Acheampong worked against them in this case.
We had the whole of January to sign Jeremy Jacquet and come up short 😡
Who is to blame for this?!
Another reason the young Frenchman decided to move elsewhere was because of the club’s decision to recall Mamadou Sarr from his loan spell at Strasbourg.

Chelsea think Mamadou Sarr is similar to Dean Huijsen
Sarr featured for the last time for the Ligue 1 side last night, and Chelsea are very excited about his prospects with the first team.
Journalist Matt Law has told The Telegraph that the Blues believe he is of a similar profile to Dean Huijsen, who they targeted before the season began.
He said: “Chelsea have now fully activated the recall clause on Mamadou Sarr’s loan at sister club Strasbourg and he returns to Stamford Bridge to be part of Liam Rosenior’s squad.
“He can play on the left side of the centre of defence and is seen as a similar profile to Dean Huijsen, who was a target for Chelsea last summer, in that he is comfortable with the ball at his feet.
“Sarr has played in over 50 games for Rosenior at Strasbourg, so the pair are extremely familiar with each other.”

Rosenior key to Sarr recall
It would be a good idea for the club to give their new manager some say over the players he has in his squad.
Complete our XI to face Arsenal!
It has been reported that Rosenior spoke to Sarr regarding his future, potentially offering him assurances that he would be utilised should he return.
Whatever he said seems to have worked, and he will now have another player to feature on the left of defence alongside Benoit Badiashile.
Levi Colwill still remains out for some time, although has returned to the grass in recent days.
