Romelu Lukaku saga continues: Chelsea flop linked with Premier League return
Romelu Lukaku has made himself an unpopular figure at Napoli, and now the former Chelsea player is being linked with a shock return to the Premier League.
Napoli have endured a tough season, sitting 10 points behind league leaders Inter Milan, and being dumped out during the group stages of the Champions League at the hands of Liam Rosenior’s Chelsea.
Lukaku left a bad taste in the mouth of Chelsea fans when the club-record signing started to throw his toys out of the pram within his first season back at Stamford Bridge.
Former Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku linked with Premier League return
Despite continuing his strong relationship with Antonio Conte this season at Napoli, his conduct has come back to bite him again after deciding not to turn up to training.
Conte has now stated Lukaku has been ignoring him, putting his future at his third Serie A club in serious doubt.

A return to the Premier League is reportedly on the table, and TeamTALK have stated that the Belgian’s representatives have reached out to English sides over a possible return.
Lukaku’s time at West Brom and Everton is very highly regarded, although when he made big-money moves to Stamford Bridge and Old Trafford he came under far more scrutiny.
The player himself believes that Chelsea fans always got it wrong about him, although it will come as no surprise to many Blues supporters that he is now strongly linked with another exit.
Lukaku’s record against Chelsea
Given the fact a Premier League return could be on the cards, a trip back to Stamford Bridge would likely be relished by Chelsea fans looking to give some stick to their former player.
This treatment has already met the likes of Noni Madueke and Mason Mount, with the latter antagonising Blues fans following United’s recent win against them.
Lukaku has just three goals in 14 games against Chelsea, with two of those coming in an FA Cup victory for Everton.
Blues fans would welcome the Belgium international making a return to English football, as long as he ends up causing chaos at a side that is not theirs.
