The Premier League side who would be perfect for Chelsea outcast Axel Disasi

Chelsea and Axel Disasi are both looking for a new club for him this summer, and Frank Lampard could provide the best possible new home for him.

Despite a brief return to training under Liam Rosenior, it has become clear that there is no future for Disasi at Stamford Bridge.

The Frenchman spent the second half of last season on loan at West Ham, where he produced a far higher level of performances than many Chelsea fans had seen from him.

Coventry City are the perfect side for Chelsea’s Axel Disasi

Their relegation from the Premier League has seen them out of the running to sign him this summer, although Chelsea should be looking at one of the sides replacing them as a perfect location for him.

Coventry City will be back in the top-flight next season, meaning Frank Lampard is set for another homecoming at Stamford Bridge up against former rival Xabi Alonso.

There is a strong relationship between the club legend and new owners at the club, who hired him on a short-term deal following the sacking of Graham Potter.

While the deal would certainly benefit Chelsea, there is certainly a positive in it for Coventry too, who would be getting a centre-back with Premier League experience under his belt.

This is going to be crucial for a side who many will be tipping for relegation next season.

Chelsea should offer cut-price deal to Frank Lampard’s Coventry for Disasi

Chelsea will no doubt be looking to recoup as much of the £38m they spent on Disasi when selling him this summer.

However, their efforts to finalise a permanent deal for him have so far come up short, and they’ve had to settle for loans to Aston Villa and West Ham.

Lampard could surely use his relationship with the club to negotiate a decent price with the Blues, who will be looking to get a sale on the books in their ongoing battle against PSR.
