‘A crazy talent’: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang praises Chelsea player who nearly left the club in January
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has praised the abilities of Chelsea’s Hakim Ziyech in an exclusive column on the 5th Stand app.
The duo have formed quite the friendship since the striker made the move to Stamford Bridge back in August.
This is despite them both being largely out of favour under current manager Graham Potter.

Ziyech looked set to be on the move in January, with PSG showing interest in a loan deal. However, a late error on Chelsea’s side saw it fall through in the final moments of the window.
This caused great annoyance to the Morocco international, with him surely set to be on the move at the end of the season.
Aubameyang praises Ziyech
Aubameyang has praised his abilities meanwhile, explaining how much he enjoyed watching him represent his nation at the World Cup late last year.
He said: “My good friend, Hakim Ziyech, is a crazy guy. A crazy talent. I am close to him, we have a good feeling with one another. To tell the truth, when I watched the World Cup, I was so happy for him.
“I know what it means to represent your country. I know what it means for him to play for Morocco.”

Aubameyang is another player who is currently likely to be on the move at the end of the season. Potter has left him out of the last few squads completely.
With all his newfound spare time, the former Barcelona striker elected to attend El Clasico at the weekend, where he was pictured celebrating the victory for the La Liga leaders in their changing room.
This will no doubt not have gone down well with an already divided fanbase regarding the former Arsenal man, and it seems best for everyone if his Chelsea career lasts just the one season.
