Chelsea player spotted celebrating Barcelona's win last night with their players in the dressing room
Chelsea striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been spotted on Ferran Torres’ Instagram story celebrating in the Barcelona dressing room last night.
The Catalan side completed a sensational comeback victory against Real Madrid last night, as they continue to look the strongest side in Spain in all domestic competitions.
Aubameyang has plenty of history with Barcelona, after moving to the Blues from the Nou Camp at the start of this season.
Things have hardly worked out as everyone hoped though. The Gabon man has scored just three goals since making the switch to England again, with only one of those being in the Premier League.
While he did find the net a couple of times in crucial Champions League games against AC Milan, it seemed to mean very little as he was left out of the squad for the knockout stages in favour of a number of January signings.
His relationship with current manager Graham Potter has seemingly deteriorated. The former Brighton man has often left Aubameyang out of the squad completely.
Aubameyang spotted at Barcelona
This occurred again on Saturday, with the proven Premier League goalscorer nowhere to be seen for the draw against Everton.
This perhaps explains why he chose instead to travel to Spain and watch El Classico, which his former side won again.
He was clearly delighted with the victory, and he posed for a picture with current player and former teammate Torres whilst celebrating in the dressing room.
While Aubameyang wasn’t selected at the weekend, it will still likely frustrate Chelsea fans, who are reeling from conceding late to relegation-threatened Everton.
The move looked destined to fail as soon as Thomas Tuchel left the club, with many expecting that the German was entrusted with keeping the often controversial character in check for the Blues this season.
