'Nothing too serious': 28-year-old Chelsea player's injury isn't too bad, but they must be careful - expert
Injury expert Ben Dinnery has told GiveMeSport that Raheem Sterling’s injury is not serious, however the club would do well to be careful regarding his return in order not to aggravate things.
The England international was not present for last weekend’s Premier League match against Leicester City, which ended up being their third win in a row in all competitions.
This is despite him playing a key role in the sensational Champions League turnaround against Borussia Dortmund just over a week ago.

Sterling opened the scoring that night to solidify his place as the top scorer in the competition for the Blues.
His 2023 has been plagued by injuries up to now, which has been unfortunate for Chelsea given he is supposedly in his prime.
Dinnery has said that although the problem is not serious, the club would do well to not major things worse in the long run.
Sterling injury not serious
He said: “In isolation, it’s nothing too serious. Of course, you want to try and protect these types of injuries.
“We know that he’s coming off the back of another hamstring issue as well and we know about those high re-injury and recurrence rates, particularly within that first maybe month, even two months, so that’s why you have to be really careful.”
Sterling’s admission at the weekend saw January signing Mykhailo Mudryk handed a rare start in attack.

The youngster seemed to take it with both hands. He slotted into the frontline seamlessly, picking up an assist late on for his efforts.
It is so far unclear whether the 28-year-old will be back for the club’s next league game at the weekend against Everton.
If not, Mudryk may be handed another chance to shine, and open up his account for his new club
