'Planning it': Graham Potter says £30m Chelsea star is about to play in behind closed doors friendly
Graham Potter has told The Telegraph that he is planning a behind closed doors friendly to help N’golo Kante return to full fitness.
The Frenchman was seen back in the matchday squad for the first time since August when he suffered an injury against Tottenham.
While he wasn’t utilised in the 2-2 draw with Everton on Saturday, even the sight of him warming up on the side of the pitch was a major positive for supporters in the stadium.

Ever since joining the club for £30m, he has been arguably the most important member of the first team for every manager that has passed through.
This is why his recent influx of injuries has hit the club hard. There were even fears that the Blues would have to let him go this summer due to his unreliability.
However, there is now more positivity regarding his contract, despite the fact that his current deal expires at the end of this season.
Kante set for behind closed doors friendly
Now, Potter has claimed that they will look to take the next step in building up his fitness during the upcoming international break.
He said: “N’Golo’s due to carry on training Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday with potentially a game to give him some minutes.”

“We’re still planning it, but I think it will probably be internal. But that will be good, we need to control it as much as we can. We will use the break to refresh and prepare for a really hectic April.”
That aforementioned hectic April is highlighted by the Champions League quarter-final tie with Real Madrid.
With Kante’s history of saving some of the best of his legendary performances for the European stage, the hope that he will be raring to go to partner Enzo Fernandez in a few weeks time.
