‘Affected me mentally’: Chelsea youngster angry at what people have been saying about his recent injury
New Chelsea youngster Malo Gusto has expressed his anger at what has been said about his recent injury while on loan at Lyon.
He told L’Equipe that he wants to give his all for his former and temporary club until he makes the move to Stamford Bridge at the end of the season.
Gusto was one of the club’s final additions of the January transfer window as they looked to complete somewhat of a mid-season rebuild.

For those who stayed at the club after being brought in, the fortunes have not gone any better, and if anything have got worse in the months that have followed.
Gusto personally has endured a tough time too despite remaining in Ligue 1 for the remainder of the season.
Gusto angry at comments
He suffered an injury not long after his deal was confirmed, with him spending the majority of his rehab at the superior facilities offered by Chelsea.
This infuriated sections of the Lyon fanbase, who assumed he had begun the process of transitioning teams earlier than they would have liked.

The young Frenchman has now come out to address those rumours, claiming those talks have disappointed him due to how the injury actually affected him.
He said: “A lot of false things have been said. The duration of my injury, it affected me mentally. When you are the child of the club, when you always want to give your all for OL and they say you are delaying your return to save yourself for Chelsea… That was not the case at all.”
Chelsea supporters meanwhile will be counting down the days until he is available for selection, with him offering some much needed cover and competition for Reece James in the position.
