‘At the minute’: Frank Lampard explains what he is working on in training with the Chelsea players
Interim Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has explained that the club are working more on off-the-field work than fine-tuning things on the pitch.
He told the Evening Standard that tiredness in his squad has stopped him being able to work the players hard between games.
It certainly looks as if fatigue has begun to set in to the Blues squad in what has been a dire season for them so far.

Their only hopes of saving any form of success remains in the Champions League, where they now are holding on by a thread after a first leg defeat to Real Madrid.
Trailing 2-0 as the tie heads to Stamford Bridge, there is low optimism around another magical night in West London coming to fruition.
Reports had claimed recently that Lampard’s training sessions in recent days have not really revolved around tactics, but instead personal conversations.
Now, the Englishman has admitted that he is forced to do this due to the fatigue levels of the players he has taken over.

He said: “At the minute, it has been mostly conversations and meetings than training pitch stuff. Training pitch stuff was all pretty walkthrough and low level because of the [tiredness] in the legs.
“It’s more about speaking to the players individually. When we do get the chance to work… team needs some physical work… that’s important for us because at this level you’ve to be right on the limit & we’re not on the limit right now.”
With it being three consecutive losses in the three games since Lampard took over, supporters will be desperate for something to at least give them some sort of hope going into next season, under an unknown manager.
