‘He’s waiting’: 52-year-old now dreams of managing in the Premier League, Chelsea admire him – Romano
Fabrizio Romano has stated that it is Luis Enrique’s dream to become a Premier League manager as soon as possible.
He claimed on Twitter that the Spaniard is waiting for a long-term project to arise, something the owners had hoped to carry out with Graham Potter starting last year.
The former Brighton man was sacked over the weekend off the back of a dismal run of form in recent months.

Defeat to Aston Villa was the final straw as far as Todd Boehly was concerned, despite him showing plenty of patience this season despite unconvincing results.
This has begun the hunt for a new figure at the helm for the second time this season.
Julian Nagelsmann has been made the early favourite, however many expect him to have wanted to wait until the end of the season before taking his new job.
Enrique wants PL job
This keeps the door open for other candidates, with one of those being Enrique.
The 52-year-old boasts an impressive CV, having recently managed Spain at the last two major tournaments.
Champions League glory at Barcelona should give those at Stamford Bridge the feeling that success can be claimed at club level.
Romano has claimed that Enrique is extremely keen to take a job in the Premier League as soon as possible.

He said: “Luis Enrique wants to return as soon as possible. His plan was already clear after the World Cup: priority to clubs with the dream of Premier League opportunity.
“Spanish coach would only accept long term project with clear plan/ideas — he’s waiting for the right opportunity.”
In comparison to Nagelsmann who is at the early stages of what is certainly going to be a successful career, Enrique’s experience at the top could be enough for Chelsea to consider bringing in, in an attempt to manage the egos at Stamford Bridge.
