Report: 51-year-old coach to join Frank Lampard at Chelsea, he’s previously worked for Carlo Ancelotti
Reports have claimed that former Chelsea coach Paul Clement is going to return to the club as part of Frank Lampard’s coaching staff.
According to the Evening Standard, the 51-year-old, who has previously been assistant manager at Stamford Bridge, will be part of the crew looking to raise morale for the rest of the season.
Lampard is set to come in on a temporary basis as the owners look to censure they find the perfect candidate to take the club in the direction they want.

So far, it appears Julian Nagelsmann and Luis Enrique have emerged as the favourites for the job. The former Spain international even travelled to London yesterday after impressing in early talks.
However, the fact that the Blues are waiting until the end of the season perhaps shows they have a favouring to the former Bayern Munich man, who is widely expected to not want to return to management until the summer.
Clement to join Chelsea
Either way, Lampard is in for the remainder of the season, and will have to prepare to face former coach Carlo Ancelotti in the Champions League quarter-finals next week.
Someone else who knows Ancelotti well is Clement, after working as his assistant at a number of former clubs.

Whether this will come as an advantage when preparing for Real Madrid or not, it feels like their talents are pretty well known to the majority of the footballing world.
A Karim Benzema hat-trick gave his side a 4-0 win at the Nou Camp last night, a result which will surely not please current Chelsea striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, after his El Clasico celebration antics a few weeks ago.
The former Arsenal man will be hoping to be one of the players given another chance under Lampard at Stamford Bridge.
