‘Fantastic’ Chelsea player seen training with his knee heavily strapped ahead of Forest match
Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez has been spotted training with his knee heavily strapped ahead of the Premier League fixture with Nottingham Forest this weekend.
The Argentine’s Instagram showed that his right knee was taped, potentially assisting him with some sort of injury concern.
It would certainly not be a surprise if any sort of niggles were beginning to catch up with Fernandez. He has started every single game since he joined Chelsea in January.
The 22-year-old’s performances have been a rare bright spot in what has been a dire season for the club in all.
His displays have been encouraging and impressive, even taking into account the club-record fee that they paid for him on deadline day in January.
This is with there still not being a quality standard partner for him to begin to work with in west London, that will likely be playing with him for the coming years.

Temporary boss Frank Lampard has been just one of the many impressed with the World Cup winner, describing him as ‘fantastic’.
This is why there may be concern over how fit he is, with the image of him training showing the strapping clearly on display.
Injuries have been a frequent issue at Stamford Bridge this season. Both first choice full-backs, Reece James and Ben Chilwell, are likely going to be out for the rest of the season after suffering yet another issue.
Team selection is always going to be interesting in the coming games, especially as there is very little to play for.
If there is a risk of injury for Fernandez going into Saturday’s game against Forest, it would not make any sense at all for him to continue his run of starts by playing again.
