Report: Chelsea already regretting transfer Todd Boehly agreed last summer, they think it was far too cheap
Reports have claimed that Chelsea are regretting the decision to loan out Romelu Lukaku this season.
According to The Athletic, the fee the Blues received for the temporary deal has made the decision to not have him available this campaign as a massive oversight.
It has taken a while, but Lukaku has finally found his feet this season with Inter Milan, the team he publically claimed last season that he wanted to join again just months after leaving.

Injuries and poor form were really plaguing his efforts to be signed on a permanent basis, with the World Cup in particular showing how far he had fallen this season.
In the final group stage match against Croatia, the 29-year-old missed a hatful of glorious chances as Belgium were dumped out in the first round.
Chelsea regretting Lukaku decision
Recently though, it has been big goal after big goal, and his performances in the Champions League have helped send the Serie A side to the semi-finals of the competition.
One of Boehly’s first port of calls when taking over the club was sorting out the situation with the Belgian that had become toxic between player and supporters at Stamford Bridge.

However, it has now been claimed that some at the club are regretting the decision that has seen a proven Premier League goalscorer leave a side where goals have previously been hard to come by.
That has not changed this season, with the likes of Kai Havertz, Raheem Sterling and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang all not contributing on a regular basis.
This has made it very difficult for whoever has been in charge at the club to know who to pick, and could explain the large amount of changes to the team which has no doubt been a hindrance this year.
